At Stevenson Signs & Graphics it is important to us to provide you with top quality products and services at competitive rates so it is important for us to have the correct files for your artwork.

Below is a list of acceptable file formats. Artwork produced in Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe Illustrator CS or Corel Draw 8 are compatible provided they are saved correctly.

You can provide files to us on CD-Rom (640Mb-700Mb media), DVD-Rom, Memory Stick or you can Email Files up to 10Mb.

PC format is required. If working on a Macintosh please save all files in either EPS or PDF for vector graphics or TIFF format for printed artwork, and convert ALL fonts to outlines, adding the dot extension to the file name. Eg. Artwork.eps/p>

Work all files in CMYK mode. Please realise that we can only match to the process equivalent of Pantone colours. Please do not supply us 72 DPI Internet files, or work saved in RGB mode

Please convert all text to paths or supply all fonts required for the job. Supply all relevant files with your job such as links, or placed files.

Set up layout files in the correct proportion. Please work at a scale of 1mm = 10mm at approx. 300-350 DPI, particularly for larger files. Small to medium size files can be saved at 25% – 50% and a higher DPI.

If supplying a PDF file please supply this at 400DPI, CMYK set-up to the correct scale with the text converted to a path.

The bigger the file the better the quality. Scan from the best artwork possible. Scans from printed material such as newspapers, business cards, magazines etc are not recommended.

Supply logos as editable Illustrator EPS files or Corel Draw files where possible. Supply Art work created in Photoshop as Layers for editing or a TIFF file for direct printing.

Please supply a printout of the files you have sent us (colour where possible). Please note due to the inconsistent nature of the colour inkjet or laser prints we do not consider them to be an accurate colour guide. If you require us to match particular colours, then please provide us with PMS Pantone colours that we are able to match to.
